Milton Hershey’s mansion opens up for uncommon general public excursions

UPDATE: Tours have bought out for the remainder of November and December. Extra tour dates for those months are expected to be announced subsequent week.

You can just take a peek inside the residence of legendary chocolate baron Milton Hershey on a new series of public excursions in Hershey.

High Point Mansion, exactly where Hershey and his spouse Catherine lived for several years, will be open up to the public starting up on Nov. 19. Tours will be made available Thursdays and Fridays at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. They last about 45 minutes and expense $15 for individuals ages 13 via 61 and $13 for seniors (ages 62 and higher than) and junior (ages 12 and underneath).

Excursions will not be held on Nov. 26 and 27 and Dec. 24 and 25.

High Point Mansion offers 22 rooms and was made by C. Emlen Urban. It was designed in 1908 and is designed in the Classical architectural style. It contains nods to Hershey’s enjoy of vacation, including possessing sphinxes by its outdoor methods. The home’s billiard home is also adorned with scenes from the epic novel “Ivanhoe” by Sir Walter Scott.
