ELKINS — Robert “Robbie” Morris Jr. will provide as the Director General for the 84th Mountain Point out Forest Pageant, which will acquire area Oct. 1 as a result of Oct. 9.
This will be his sixth yr with the pageant. Morris is married to his spouse, Whitney, and has two daughters, Elin and Tinley. Morris served as a practice bearer in the 57th version of the Forest Competition, his father, Bob Morris, served as an assistant director in the early 1990s, and his daughter Elin was a Flower Lady in 2018.
He is the executive director of the Randolph County Progress Authority and West Virginia Wood Technologies Heart. Morris is a graduate of Elkins Substantial School and West Virginia Wesleyan Faculty. He is a 2009 graduate of Leadership WV and was named by West Virginia Government Magazine as a “Young Gun” in 2017. Morris is active in several experienced and civic businesses at the each the local and point out levels.
Morris was initial appointed as an Assistant Director by Director Normal Lydia Jones. In excess of the decades, Morris has overseen the Grand Feature Parade, Forestry Exhibit, Horseshoe Match, Pet Exhibit, Official Cars and Cornhole Tournament.
“Through my decades assisting with the Forest Pageant, I am normally astonished at the amount of folks it usually takes to make the pageant a results,” Morris mentioned. “Each specific is a significant piece of the larger photograph.
