Mountain Park festival draws big crowd

The winner of the title of Mini Mr. Mountain Park could not arrive onstage to acquire his sash and crown Monday at the yearly Mountain Park Fourth of July pageant.

Thorin Baldwin, 1, of Elkin experienced been defending his title in the annual pageant hosted by the Mountain Park Ruritans, in which patriotically bedazzled contestants are declared with descriptions of their favorite attributes of the modest city festival and their latest hobbies.
