TAA celebrates industry greats at NSW awards

Much more than 600 market and political leaders from NSW tourism accommodation sector came collectively for a prolonged overdue evening of celebration on Wednesday to recognise vital performers at the 2022 Tourism Lodging Australia (TAA) NSW Awards for Excellence.

Emirates A person&Only Wolgan Valley took house the massive award of the night, Deluxe Resort of the Year, with Crown Towers Sydney obtaining Highly Recommended. The Star Sydney was named Metropolitan Top-quality Hotel of the Yr, when team customers at the 4 Seasons, Sydney, collected a range of coveted awards like Concierge of the Year, Pastry Chef of the 12 months, Gross sales and Internet marketing Talent of the Yr and a Highly Recommended for Lodge Field Rising Star.

The Langham, Sydney was recognised the moment yet again for Outstanding Community Contribution, even though Rydges Newcastle received Mid-Vary Resort of the Yr, and Crystalbrook Byron was named Redeveloped/Refurbished Resort of the Year.

Condominium/Suite Lodge of the Calendar year went to Skye Suites, Sydney.

 This year’s Hall of Fame Inductee was industry icon Peter Tudehope of the Radisson Lodge Group.

TAA NSW and Countrywide CEO, Michael Johnson, explained Tudehope delivers a degree of both equally compassion and humility to his job, and is acknowledged for searching immediately after his staff.  

“During the pandemic we saw hundreds of people today abandon our resorts to work in other industries, but our inductee shed hardly a handful. Their loyalty is the best accolade a leader can ever count on to acquire,” Johnson claimed.

The gala celebration at The Fullerton Hotel, Sydney, observed TAA and the Accommodation Affiliation (AA) arrive collectively at an official awards ceremony for the first time, as the peak business bodies shift nearer to the merger into Accommodation Australia.

TAA NSW Chair Richard Doyle welcomed associates of the Lodging Association to the awards for the to start with time, declaring it was ‘another stage in the prosperous merging of our two good associations’.
