The Museum of the Mountain West in Montrose is expanding

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – The Museum of the Mountain West in Montrose is introducing a period western façade to the Museum’s main constructing. This is many thanks to a Facade Advancement Matching grant from the Metropolis of Montrose. The grant was awarded by DART, the Advancement and Revitalization Group. The Museum will break up the expenses of development.

The museum is a set of 28 historic structures established in the time interval from 1840 to 1940. It is made up of a western village with historic households, a university and a church. The new creating addition will fit in with the character of the other structures on the home. It will be partially painted in line with the record at the time with products made use of from that time interval as effectively.

”The museum is two parts,” stated Museum of the Mountain West Founder and Director Richard Fike. “It’s the Museum of the Mountain West which has 11 buildings up to two stories higher inside, all furnished. Then we have the adobes, the kinds outdoors of Adobe Flats. So this is a two aspect façade so it’ll appear like two diverse structures.
